JAMIE BLUE AND MARTIN

Jamie and Martin were the Untouchables before they met each other. They hated all other rabbits. But one day, on a whim, we allowed big, goofy Jamie, newly recovering from a head tilt (brought on by a severe inner ear infection) to share the back yard with our shy, highly intelligent Martin. Instead of launching to the attack as she usually did, Jamie started acting stoopid, giving head binkies and googly eyes to Martin, who kept a wary distance. Now, of course, they are inseparable.
Jamie is a HUGE charcoal blue rabbit. We think she might be half English lop and half Dutch (judging from the white blase on her big, moose nose.

Jamie loves her time in the back yard, where she gets to romp and play for at least an hour or two every morning. You've never quite seen a binky until you've seen this Long Drink of Water become airborne, head tilt and all.

And she never misses a chance to look for trolls hiding in the ficus tree roots...

When we remember what she looked like when she first came to us, rolling uncontrollably, emaciated and her lush fur sticky and stained with urine, we can't help but wonder what awful life she had before. We know she's happy to be with us now. But check out those eyes!
